One of the biggest honors of being a wedding photographer is being able to capture the wedding of dear friends. Alex and Zeb are two beautiful people – they radiate warmth, compassion and they bring the fun wherever they go. It was an absolute joy to photograph their beautiful wedding day. Alex and Zeb chose a stunning venue where the surrounding beauty was the perfect backdrop for their al fresco dinner party. Lauren Evans of Kelly Event Design, transformed the venue in the most magical way that even the rain added to the romantic feeling.

Alex and Zeb were glowing the entire day. We think they both looked stunning and their graciousness, warmth and generosity added to their outer beauty. We love that they didn’t let the rain stop them from allowing us to capture their portraits and as a result, we have some of our favorite images to date.

Alex and Zeb, it was a joy to photograph you and to celebrate your beautiful partnership alongside your friends and family. We cannot wait to see how you continue to love one another and grow in beautiful ways.

We are delighted to share a selection of images from Holly and Tom’s beach wedding this morning. The soft colors and classic details felt perfect for their Figure 8 location. Holly and Tom were both warm, gracious and welcoming on their wedding day and the enthusiasm and support from their family and friends could be felt throughout the entire celebration. We know that love will carry them throughout all of their days.

It was an absolute joy to photograph Holly and Tom at a location near both of their hearts. The beach in October is absolute perfection and adding a couple so genuinely in love makes it even more perfect.

Holly and Tom, thank you for sharing your beautiful wedding day with us. We wish you all the love in the world as you continue to grow together.

A heartfelt thank you and a big hug to my dear friend, Julia Wade, for photographing alongside me for the day.

It’s such a great honor to share today’s post with you. Back in June, our family traveled to the mountains to photograph an editorial for Southern Weddings Magazine. We were looking forward to this opportunity for as long as we knew it was a possibility and we were especially excited to be involved in the first mountain editorial. The mountains of North Carolina are very close to our hearts and we were blown away by the beauty of Lonesome Valley.

The entire experience photographing this beautiful vision was inspiring and both the ease of working with a team of such professionals and lovely reader models was invigorating. The day was also full of challenges as we dodged dark skies and rain that led to a shorter interval of optimal lighting. However, the team pulled through and we were able to pull off a beautiful shoot.

Love In A Mist is a piece of work that makes our hearts leap and it will forever be a day that we will remember. We couldn’t be me honored to be a part of such a stunning magazine and we hope everyone gets the chance to pick up the latest volume.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the ladies at Southern Weddings and all of the talented members of the team who made this possible.

  • Emily - Congratulations again to you, friend. So happy to work on this special project with you! The images are just stunning!!

We were looking forward to Beth and Nash’s wedding day as soon as we heard of their engagement. We were able to watch them together at one of our all time favorite weddings a few years ago and we loved the way they fit together so naturally and had so. much. fun. together! Beth and Nash were married on a beautiful fall day in Brevard, North Carolina. Their special day took place at Camp Kahdalea, family camp that was near both of their hearts. The floral arrangements were all created by family members and the flower girl attire was designed and sewn by Beth’s mother and incorporated pieces from Beth’s dress and family heirlooms. All of these special family details added to the beautiful familial feeling of the entire day.

The love that Beth and Nash share for their friends and family members adds to the beautiful love that unites the two of them and we know that whatever life has in store for the two of them will be approached with a sense of humor, adventure and compassion. We are eager to see their journey unfold.

Thank you Beth and Nash, for allowing us to document your lovely wedding day!

And bug hugs to the wonderful Jamie Vinson for shooting alongside me!

We love everything about this beautiful wedding! Mo and Tyler are filled with so much love, respect and encouragement toward one another and it was an absolute joy to photograph their wedding day. Their early October wedding featured the most beautiful fall light and dreamy colors. Mo and Tyler chose to hold their first look in the Chapel at Trump Winery and it was one of our favorite first look locations to date.

Mo and Tyler, it was an absolute joy photographing your beautiful wedding. The support of your family and friends and your authentic love for one another was palpable. We know the two of you are stronger together and have a most wonderful future ahead.

A big thank you to my friend, Ashley Relvas for being an amazing second photographer for the day.
